Dubai police have arrested a 21-year-old man for negligently riding a quad bike without a driving license.
After performing dangerous stunts the man Injured by falling from the vehicle, and Video footage of him fleeing the scene was widely circulated. Later he was arrested by Dubai police Col. Rashid Mohammed Salih Al Shehi, Acting Director of the Bur Dubai Police Station, said he would not tolerate violations of the law that threaten the safety.
Colonel Al-Shehi explained that such activities endanger the lives of other passengers and violate traffic rules and regulations.
He was charged with a number of traffic tickets including driving in a manner that endangers the life of the driver and others, riding a quad bike without a license, driving without a valid driving license, or fleeing.
Dubai Police for maintaining the security and safety of the public and urged motorists and motorcyclist especially young people, to refrain from such violations and dangerous stunts.
The Dubai Police urged members of the community, not to share such videos. The Police also asked the public to report negligent driving or violations of the law on (901) or through the 'Police Eye' service on the Dubai Police's smart app.
