The Dubai criminal court sentenced an African maid to one year in prison for assaulting her employer.

The court found that following a dispute between the maid and the employer, the maid assaulted the female employer and broke her finger, causing her permanent disability. An African maid has been sentenced by a Dubai criminal court to life in prison. The Defendant first assaulted himself following an argument between him and his maid. The plaintiff stated in court that she was beaten and held in her hair until she fell to the ground.

During the public prosecution investigation, the complainant said that she escaped from the maid's attack and sought help from the children of the same house who called the police and ambulance. Then maid was arrested and the complainant was shifted to the hospital for necessary medical treatment.

According to the forensic report, the complainant had multiple cuts and bruises on various parts of her body and it was found that the complainant's finger was broken as a result of the maid's assault.

On interrogation, the employee denied that she had assaulted her employer, but admitted that she had broken her finger after the employer tried to beat her.
