    The ministry warned the public not to respond to fake messages.

    The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has warned Emiratis and expatriate students about the spread of fake messages asking for financial support for those studying abroad.

    The ministry said on Twitter that some fraudsters claiming to be from UAE's foreign projects or related staff in various countries were sending text messages or emails asking for financial support to help students.

    It is claimed that financial aid will help students get admission in universities or pay tuition to help them complete their education.
